the truth hurts...
congrove sent this to me a while back - a great article about backpacking for those of us who think we're still in our early 20's.
wuss in boots - backpacking isn't for the feeble
the most condemning quote - "when you blueprint these outings, there's usually a moment when you're standing around with a couple of other guys holding beers, looking at a map, and saying maudlin things like, "it'll be tough, but hey, what an adventure!"
...OUCH!!! this guy hit the nail on the head.

baseball related tidbits...
the cards didn't even make the playoffs, so it was a chicago / boston hopeful for me - and they BOTH choked, damn the billygoat and the bambino.
so i guess i'm reduced cheering for fish @ the '03 series, because my 2nd favorite team will be playing -
dave's two favorite baseball teams:
1. the st. louis cardinals
2. whoever's playing the yankees
