here's a little followup on the espn's top ten overrated athletes posting - i've always known neon deion to be an undisputed moron, but this puts him towards the top of that list.
DALLAS -- Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders is battling an automotive shop over what he says Jesus told him to pay for a repair bill.
The owner of the repair shop says Sanders wanted to pay only $1,500 of the $4,265.57 bill, saying that Jesus had informed him that was all he needed to pay.
"It's the 'Praise Jesus' discount,'' attorney Ed Edson told The Dallas Morning News in Monday's editions.

i will remember this discount when i'm calculating my taxes next season. this world is eaten up with dumbness.

this story gets my vote for 'most blown out of proportion'. give the guy a break, he was just trying to be cute and make a little joke, who knew the poor girl was had balance issues? if this had happened in pittsburg, there would have been no issue.

espn has put together a list of the top ten most overrated atheletes of all time - my favorite was #5...
5. Deion Sanders
Spectacular to watch in his prime, dominant on pass defense (although a notoriously weak tackler), but he asked for too much money, and undeservedly got it. ESPN the Mag's Tom Friend summed up Sanders' career well, calling Sanders the "Greatest selfish player of all-time, best-bandannaed player of all time, (who) killed wide receivers and salary caps." Oh, and he was a mediocre baseball player, despite the hype and two Sports Illustrated covers (only one less than Barry Bonds!).
i'd have to take issue w/ pete rose - who came in at number 6 - being a cardinals fan, i grew up hating him, but i've grown to respect him for what he did for the sport - i'll always remember him as 'charlie hustle'. i'd suggest that cal ripken would fill this slot more appropriately - he played a hell of a lot of games, but there was nothing all that spectacular about his play.

siesta anyone?
this is exactly what i've been trying to tell my boss all along...
Taking a nap after learning a difficult task might help you perform better. A new study shows that a 60-90 minute daytime nap can provide the same sleep-related benefits in learning new things as an entire night's sleep.
i'm telling you - george costanza was on to something - a truly revolutionary thinker.

good friends casey and heather bourbonnais have finally put up their family site - not a ton of content yet, but they're working on it. go to www.ebourbonnais.com and take a peek for yourself.
also - cotner has moved flyover. the new link is flyovercountry.blog-city.com - coincidentally, i understand that ascotner.com has changed a bit as well...
